His research is focused on the pathophysiology of Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Dr. Sayej is currently involved in translational research on EoE at University of Connecticut that is focused on determining the pathophysiology of EoE and on potential biomarkers to diagnose and monitor the disease. He is also in the process of building a clinical database that will aid in developing a protocol to treat patients with EoE and will help monitor patients and improve their care.
